Pros
Company leadership is good at attracting/maintaining high end clients. Lots of diverse projects, with big budgets. Projects are fairly complex and you will learn a lot here.
Cons
When the economy is good, like now, the company is too busy. Management will brow beat people to work lots of overtime. There is no gratitude either for the extra effort. You’re supposed to be grateful you have a job. Management, while good at getting work, is not good at managing the work once it is won. They expect the engineers/designers to magically get their work done while simultaneously managing architects and clients expectations. (-Hint- Managing architects/clients is basically AEI management’s job.) This often leads to projects not getting done properly, lots of frustration, and management is upset because projects run over budget. Also, when the economy is bad…...better dust off that resume.
