Respected company in the market, good people, engineering based training is good

Management rarely evaluates the work involved in the Production Underwriter role, expectations for them are too varied and not generally achievable in a normal work week. When changes are made, management does not consult the people actually working in the role. Salaries are low compared to the marketplace. Underwriting training is not robust enough. Difficult to advance if you are not an engineer.

Stable work environment providing you nod your head like a Yes man

Management. The company seems to have a policy of "You are lucky to be working for us" attitude/arrogance. Pay is not on par with AIG, Zurich, etc.
