Pros

1. Learning is great and new skills can be added to your portfolio. 2. Good guidance from product head which will make you learn more. 3. Great developers who are capable of completing tasks well in spite of strict timelines. 4. The testing team (1 person as per my stint) did a great job even when overloaded. 5. Basic Salary on time. 5. Quite easy to spot out cons in a short time once we start working.

Cons

1. Weak company vision. They frequently change what business / product they want to do. They often want to try the same thing as the competitors, they list down. (Whereas those competitors do not consider us as their competitors) 2. Frequent regional language talks in meeting at their India office which is an unhealthy culture. Some employees can be given english soft skills training. (which will help them professionally as well) 3. Job insecurity - There will be a constant feeling of job insecurity as there has been some non transparent sacking of some key people in the company. (They even reported growth in revenue after reduction in costs post firing them which is unhealthy) 4. Employee support - none to minimal. If the company is sending us on a long overseas business trip - we may be asked to share rooms which is not that great for people looking for their own space. (For me personally, the long business trips weren't that beneficial as I was doing by job wherever I am. And it was more for the company to feel how efficient and flexible you are) 5. Employment contract - Just a piece of paper. They don't follow it keenly. They will amend rules to their favour at a time when they feel there are some points in the contract that is causing them to pay more to the employee. (For me personally, multiple things happened: a. it was said in my contract, I am entitled for performance bonus quarterly which never happened b. It was said in my contract, I will be confirmed after initial 3 months of work. It never happened in my case, when asked they informed they will do it after a year of work. I understand that my supervisor has changed in the middle owing to my old supervisor being fired. Which does not make sense, as there were other key people still present who had interviewed me and working together who could have done my confirmation after 3 months c. I resigned, which is when i was surprised to know that i wasn't confirmed yet - As discussed with HR and as per contract, i need to serve 1 month notice when not confirmed. d. As per my contract, I am entitled for 1 month salary as bonus on completion of a year. When I asked to claim it, as I would have officially completed 12 months if I had served 1 month notice. The management bid me farewell in 2 days after a quick handover document to save that money. A year ago, the company wanted me to join unofficially at their India office which makes me to complete 1 year already. e. Also If the company is not letting me serve the notice period when I am willing to, as per norms & contract I have be paid for the 1 month notice period. Which I was denied as well.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

I was a senior Senior Sales Executive at Jampp and initially enjoyed a positive work environment (pre acquisition). Initially, after Affle acquired us, things seemed okay—they stayed out of our way as long as the numbers were good. But everything dramatically changed after the tech industry crisis in late 2022. Out of nowhere, they fired our founders without any explanation and replaced them with their own people - CRO Anuj Kumar and CTO Charles Yong. These new leaders have no clue about technology sales. They genuinely think that revenue can be increased by just “spending more time with clients,” which shows their total lack of understanding. After the founders were gone, they started promising bonuses to keep people from leaving, clearly terrified of a mass exodus. Empty promises - only to be followed by layoffs of some of the very people promised bonuses. Much of this directly involved their CEO Anuj Khanna - he’s obsessed with micromanaging every little detail, creating a stifling and unproductive work environment. On the surface, the company appears to be doing well in the stock market, but that’s only because they keep buying companies and their revenue. Their organic growth is completely stagnant. They’re masking their lack of true growth by acquisitions rather than innovation or improvement. They constantly make promises they don’t keep, and they fire people without providing the appropriate compensation. This company is a sinking ship. Avoid at all costs.

Pros

They have acquired some decent companies but the good people there don't last long. Everything Affle touches, Affle ruins.

Cons

There are so many bad things about Affle that it is hard to summarize. Overall, it's a badly managed business that has been able to miraculously show good performance over the years by buying other companies or striking last minute deals to add revenue. Their management has virtually remained the same since the beginning, with Anuj Khanna as their CEO and a group of Yes Men around him that are absolutely terrified of him . Anuj is a dangerous narcissist who believes his own lies and truly thinks he is the Amitabh Bachchan of the corporate world. He says openly he is better than everyone else at any job in the company. Ask him, he'll tell you. Affle's main product "Maas" is basically a no technology mobile affiliate network riddled with intermediaries. Their CEO talks proudly about their culture but there is no culture whatsoever. HR and culture are a joke, everything is improvised and done last minute. In fact they force people to write reviews on Glassdoor, sometimes they even write them for you. Some of their top managers are unprepared and dishonest, they do not own up to mistakes and they betray people in their teams to save face. If you ask around technolgoy entrepreneurs in India you will find out what a terrible reputation Affle and its founder has. Do your homework. Nobody that values their dignity and mental health should work in that company.
