Pros

The engineering team is really smart and great to work with. The company is also doing really well, we also recently raised a bridge round

Cons

There are some bad apples at Afresh that have changed the culture negatively and it is causing a lot of people to leave Afresh. We also used to have more benefits than we used to and leadership also got rid of annual company-wide get togethers which has affected teams a lot and company culture a lot. The team is also not as diverse as it used to be. They let go a huge chunk of POC during all the layoffs they had a few years ago.

Pros

Smart and Kind People: The team is genuinely great to work with; high talent density without the ego. Business Momentum: The company is doing very well and has a clear path forward. AI Empowerment: Strong support for using the latest AI tools to stay productive and efficient. Market Moat: Probably more immune to being replaced by AI chatbots than other SaaS companies due to the physical and operational nature of the problem we solve. Remote

Cons

Like many companies, there are some older systems that can be difficult to work with. However, management has made a lot of progress improving engineer productivity over the last year.

Pros

-Mission-focused startup with a clear problem space -Generally smart, capable, and kind coworkers -Compensation, benefits, and tech stack were competitive or above average

Cons

-Founders and LT team lacks experience operating and scaling a startup; toxic finger pointing instead of accountability -Product and IT teams often impacted by frequent strategy shifts High churn, particularly across Engineering and Product -Notable layoffs that significantly reduced Marketing, HR, and Ops functions -Sales feels disconnected from the broader org; leadership turnover (CRO and VP of Salesl both left last year), historically low quota attainment with only one successful AE during my entire tenure -Limited enablement and knowledge-sharing; environment leans heavily DIY, with reps often operating independently -Agree with other reviews re: 'Glacier Pace', was stunned at how slow execution speed was relative to what you’d expect from a startup -This might not be a ‘Con” for everyone but it struck me how quiet their slack culture was. People would announce their arrival/ departure on Slack and the reaction was mostly crickets. For a remote startup, I found it a little isolating that it would sometimes take a day or two to get a response on slack
