Pros

Compelling mission; customers are seeing value in pilots; market is ripe for disruption; sticky product *once implemented*

Cons

Bit of an academic, condescending culture with lots of finger-pointers & excuse-makers (especially in Product & Sales); inexperienced senior leadership has caused a lot of good leaders/talent to leave; major scaling issues that are taking years to solve; lot of broken promises to customers due to over promising, lack of accountability, and lack of collaboration/execution, eg they’ve been a single-product company for 6 years; crazy politics for a small startup

Pros

Smart and Kind People: The team is genuinely great to work with; high talent density without the ego. Business Momentum: The company is doing very well and has a clear path forward. AI Empowerment: Strong support for using the latest AI tools to stay productive and efficient. Market Moat: Probably more immune to being replaced by AI chatbots than other SaaS companies due to the physical and operational nature of the problem we solve. Remote

Cons

Like many companies, there are some older systems that can be difficult to work with. However, management has made a lot of progress improving engineer productivity over the last year.

Pros

The engineering team is really smart and great to work with. The company is also doing really well, we also recently raised a bridge round

Cons

There are some bad apples at Afresh that have changed the culture negatively and it is causing a lot of people to leave Afresh. We also used to have more benefits than we used to and leadership also got rid of annual company-wide get togethers which has affected teams a lot and company culture a lot. The team is also not as diverse as it used to be. They let go a huge chunk of POC during all the layoffs they had a few years ago.
