Pros

Nothing to put here. Seriously nothing

Cons

A hot dog stand, he can offer slightly higher salary than it's offered by McDonald's. They try every possible way to take advantage of young undergrad who doesn't have pofessional experience. The onwer like to promise a lot of things, but never realize any. To avoid tax, he would pay cash as salary, which is very very low. Only thing you can learn from here is how a mean boss look like to you, in every possible way. All he is doing is to have some labor without expense. Yes you are right, by "he" I mean the ceo is the only employee.

Pros

The opportunities to contribute to a fast growing firm and take on increasing responsibility here are tremendous. I enjoy working on multiple active deals, attending management meetings and working on complex business problems. I get the opportunity to work directly with senior team members on a daily basis. The personal and professional growth and development I get here is bolstered by a culture that promotes clear communication, constructive feedback and continued opportunities to learn and grow. The camaraderie among the team members outside the office is strong too – we frequently schedule evenings to go to sports events or social outings.

Cons

If you aren’t passionate about private equity or learning about new industries, it can be challenging, although the supportive culture helps.

Pros

My internship with Agamya was one of three this year. I applied because of referral from a classmate's friend who interned there previously. My other two internships were in investment banking and consulting. Without doubt the agamya internship was the best experience and helped me gain real world business experience by solving interesting problems. The fun part was owning the thinking part which is also the difficult part but I will not trade that experience for anything. The scrutiny that the firm applies really helped me get the most out of my time there. Because it was academic year internship I needed flexibility for class work. I think the support I received will not be possible in any other place. The founder constantly told me to take my classes as a priority and not let the internship have a negative impact on schoolwork. Overall a great experience in a caring environment.

Cons

Small team in Chicago. The firm seems to have a team in India but I never understood what they do. it would have been nice to get a better understanding of their business strategy and model.
