Pros

Some could argue that working at Airain should feel like a privilege given the fund's sizable AUM, technological clout and exposure that the experience affords to a complex, systematic trading environment.

Cons

Others may argue that the contrast in compensation and benefits offered by Airain when compared to the firm's sister company are reason enough to be dissuaded from joining.

Pros

A well tutored caveman can do the job

Cons

Middle Managers in CT are all on H1B. The rest of the CT employees are a revolving door (unless you tow the company line perfectly), do a deep google search to see the average tenure is under 2 years. They just fired 100 or so devs/quants in London G-Research because they had too much knowledge of the old system and didn't want them to have new human capital of the new system. Do the math, they don't want to pay people so they keep people that they have complete power over or who stay docile and compliant. The sole owner of both companies wants to funnel as much money to himself as possible through these schemes and is doing it through various methods including the ones exposed above.

Pros

Majority of staff are nice to work with. Beach days are fantastic.

Cons

Very high turn over A large number of staff have either left or in the status of leaving this year due to lack of power and direction in senior management Expect to receive minimal benefits, no pension, no housing allowance (which had previously been verbally agreed to all members of staff before joining) and potentially no bonus and lack lustre pay rises Previously suggestions have been made by members of staff on how to improve which all got completely ignored.
