In my experience, there was very little transparency between senior leadership and middle/lower management. Communication around business objectives often felt unclear beyond a general focus on growing the customer base.
It felt frustrating that a town hall centred on “clarity” contrasted with the lack of communication many employees experienced day to day. Feedback, priorities and performance related discussions did not always seem clearly shared beyond our teams, which left people unsure of expectations or direction and ultimately undervalued.
There were opportunities to improve processes and focus areas and staff regularly suggested ideas, but many initiatives were paused during an audit period, which created uncertainty amongst our team.
Overall, I often felt left in the dark and wish I had paid closer attention to similar concerns raised in these reviews before joining.
