Pros
Airgas' regional leadership in the West was talented and capable of returning excellent results.
Cons
The divisional leadership structure in the West was largely absent. When a divisional leader chose to meddle in the regional affairs, more often than not there was no value added and more harm came of the interaction than good. Worse, the divisional HR team was combative and chose to "lead" by intimidation.
