I get the sense that management really tries to get to know the team and works hard to be 'present'. In the West BSC, prior management was not as visible and engaging as what I'm experiencing today. The number of associates in the Long Beach office grew rather quickly during the past three years. Recently management asked that we, the staff, put in place an 'Activities Committee' to improve the interaction and camaraderie of our 200+ associates. Management is not involved with the committee. They leave it to us run the committee and, provided what we want to do is SAFE which is the first priority for Airgas, we are allowed to plan events as we wish. Lot of fun..
