Pros

Good pay, decent scheduling, easy work.

Cons

The entire company is a toxic environment. They are extremely safety focused to the point of the dumbest details. Cones and chalks everytime you're stopped, but don't take any extra time pre tripping your truck for the night. Everybody in the terminal is out for themselves and will make up stories about you or something you said just to try and get on the good side of management. Best bet is to not say anything to anyone about anything. Don't complain about a trip or anyone. Log down everything you do and keep a copy for yourself and I mean everything. Log the times and what you were doing ie: this time to this time pre trip, this time to this time using restroom, amd no that's not a joke. If you stop to stretch your legs, Log it down, even if it's 1 minute cause someone will make up a story that you were just hanging out. Whatever you do, don't be critical of how the company operates or they will put a target on your back and come after you non stop til you quit or they can make up a reason to terminate you.

Pros

Steady work with consistent OT. Pay is average. They employ a minimal number of drivers (and equipment) so you will definitely get your hours. If someone leaves, takes PTO, or a truck goes down, it gets spread across the remaining drivers.

Cons

Benefits are average at best. Most drivers are expected to work holidays. PTO is approved on seniority basis so don’t plan on being home with family during these times. No shortage of micromanagement. Definitely feel like a line item on a spreadsheet somewhere and not a human.
