Pros

The product has potential in the space, if the teams could delivery on the given expectations they lay for themselves.

Cons

It seems like there is a special group of people derailing the progress of the entire company at Airspace. I have never seen people specifically targeted in their roles, (for making progress and great contribution), and groups collaborating to effectively get the targeted person to leave, or be fired from the company. There is a lot of talk of progress, proper culture, psychological safety, and when you arrive, in action- you are confronted with the exact opposite, inappropriate behavior. I think we all wanted to believe in this company and it's leadership, then the vast majority of leadership was lost or let go, all executives that were making a big difference in the trajectory- it crushes the overall well being of the employees. If you're looking for any form of reasonable expectations, healthy collaboration, or work like balance, you will not find that here. There is upward mobility, because the turnover rates are astronomical.

The Airspace team always welcomes feedback from all team members (past and present). As with many startups, this is a fast-moving, and fast-changing environment -which is not for everyone but can be an exciting journey for those who want to make an outsized impact! Here are some key facts about Airspace and our culture that we are proud of: - Our team has expanded by 60% in the US and opened 3 international offices since 2020. This explosive growth has opened up positions across all functions and at every level in Southern California, Texas, Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden. - We know that this period of high growth has also accompanied a period of high change during a global pandemic. Despite these challenges, our team members’ passion and spirit of collaboration have directly driven the success of the company while also creating a healthy culture that is uniquely Airspace (e.g., Best Places to Work 2021). - People make the difference at Airspace and we are committed to expanding thoughtfully with a people-first perspective. We are building a team that is excited about our mission and passionate about our one-team core value. When this isn't the case, we have direct, transparent conversations with clear action items. - To foster a safe, fun, and productive workplace where team members are able to bring their authentic selves every day, we have a zero-tolerance policy for gossip. - We value communication as key to surfacing and resolving team member concerns. We’d rather have an open conversation to resolve a situation than ignore it; we recognize that takes a lot of effort and that it is not everyone's style. - When you join our diverse, international team, you are joining a pioneer in tech-enabled logistics that celebrates difference and career development (women are 38% of our team and 33% of management). We celebrate wins, fail forward, collaborate freely, and communicate openly. We are committed to work autonomy, pay equality, and ongoing development at an individual level. If the Airspace experience is something that resonates with you, we encourage you to explore our open roles! Pros

- The company's transparency is excellent, frequent all hands meetings, regular slack updates with all the numbers of how things are going, access to execs if you ever needed anything. - Good benefits (not the best I ever had, but very respectable) - The people and company are very causal. Ive never had to worry about politics here which is great. - Good work life balance. Unlimited PTO has never been restrictive to me. Plenty of holidays. No insane deadlines for working late.

Cons

like everywhere, there has been layoffs in the last couple of years. Culture has shifted to be a bit quieter as a result.

Pros

Nick Bulcao is amazing. He really has a great vision. Amazing team in Operations who tries their best despite the ridiculous metrics they have to meet, many great friendships formed. Overtime is provided but if you’re one of the only ones that takes it, you will get taken advantage of and find yourself with a very unhealthy work/life balance.

Cons

Upper upper management in operations once above the “manager” level is awful. A few in particular. They push and push for more but don’t want to listen to feedback or their leadership team that works on the frontlines suggestions and advice. They don’t talk respectfully to the ones under them and then expect the team to break their backs. Constant changes of supervisors and managers and processes so don’t get used to anything.
