Pros

Beautiful office, lots of smart people to work with. Engineering's culture was pretty solid, and work/life balance was pretty good.

Cons

No proven track record(s) in leadership, which shows and can be felt in every part of the process of working at Airspace. I've never worked with more passive-aggressive people in my life. I felt like I was becoming a shell of myself after only about 6 months. It's very common to hear someone be praised enthusiastically, just to be dogged on minutes later. It made me feel very insecure about myself, knowing the same was likely happening to me. There's a huge lack of true sincerity in almost all praise I encountered or observed. There is very little constructive feedback. There are weird politics coming to a boiling point, and the lack of diversity in leadership is doing nothing to help the situation. The business also has no clear direction and they can't seem to learn from mistakes they are making over, and over, and over again.

Pros

- The company's transparency is excellent, frequent all hands meetings, regular slack updates with all the numbers of how things are going, access to execs if you ever needed anything. - Good benefits (not the best I ever had, but very respectable) - The people and company are very causal. Ive never had to worry about politics here which is great. - Good work life balance. Unlimited PTO has never been restrictive to me. Plenty of holidays. No insane deadlines for working late.

Cons

like everywhere, there has been layoffs in the last couple of years. Culture has shifted to be a bit quieter as a result.

Pros

Nick Bulcao is amazing. He really has a great vision. Amazing team in Operations who tries their best despite the ridiculous metrics they have to meet, many great friendships formed. Overtime is provided but if you’re one of the only ones that takes it, you will get taken advantage of and find yourself with a very unhealthy work/life balance.

Cons

Upper upper management in operations once above the “manager” level is awful. A few in particular. They push and push for more but don’t want to listen to feedback or their leadership team that works on the frontlines suggestions and advice. They don’t talk respectfully to the ones under them and then expect the team to break their backs. Constant changes of supervisors and managers and processes so don’t get used to anything.
