Pros
Akido is extremely focused on its core competencies. You will not waste time building solutions for solved problems if you can just buy one. The support given to engineering from leadership and operations is incredible. It feels like all the departments value each other and there is no aggressive contention between anyone. There's plenty of opportunity to work on complex greenfield projects rather than constantly being bogged down with legacy systems.
Cons
* A largely remote workforce in multiple countries can make coordination of meetings difficult. * Management/Senior folks are difficult to get ahold of outside of scheduled times like standups or 1 on 1's.
