Great views of the airfield, very neat mission. Airfield Management people are great as well as the command team.
Cons
From the cliquey-ness of the employees to the unprofessional sexual comments and harassment in a training environment, I can say in good faith that I highly recommend not applying to this job unless changes are made. Akima and its Human Resources Department are well aware of the misconduct of their current employees and in particular the USAFA Weather shop manager but have choose to do nothing. From speaking to many others in the Air Force Weather career field located all over the United States and the world as well as other Forecasters at this very location, they have all murmured the same things. The current manager is egotistical, arrogant and loose tongued, willing to say whatever on his/her mind without repercussions.
