Pros
Two bonuses, expected in February & September.
Cons
Company learning material is highly dependent on existing colleagues. Prepared notes on day-to-day operations will mainly be learnt through colleagues; there is limited material to work on. Work traffic is highly dependent on inbound email traffic. Small company, with limited members in Irish premises; not much room to rise in the current hierarchy. Management within Albatrans places more time & knowledge on specific members, favouritism. ERP system is an antiquated system, heavily reliant on paper usage. No means of updating current processes to more mainstream sustainable measures. Condescending/demeaning demeanor from certain staff members has created a difficult work environment, and it is honestly quite unpleasant to work within these confines. There is no HR within Albatrans; if you are seeking assistance on any difficult circumstances with members of staff; there is no support. Certain colleagues were given the privilege to have a hybrid system, whereby the majority of staff are forced to be in the office during working hours. knowledge attained from customs course, and with the intention to be applied within the company, where neglected; the majority of the custom clearance work was achieved by one staff member. Workplace social gossip is snotty and toxic. Maritime freight is volatile on demand/supply periods causing fluctuating work levels periods.
