Working at Alchemy I was granted a lot of flexibility around my work schedule, they allowed the team to work on the latest tech stack the industry provides and always left the engineers to take the initiative to make room for improvements if we could be more efficient and better. The leadership understood that technical debt was bad and allocated every week 1-2 hour session where engineers could share their findings and solutions, talk about them and share it with the team. The team always listened to input and acted based upon it. The director of engineering kept mutual relationship with the rest of the team and assisted in many ways he could. Definitely great working environment, never had anyone over my neck breathing or micro managing.
