Used to be good Ambulance Company - Paramedic Alert Ambulance Service Employee Review

Pros

Coworkers are nice and each base is like a small family of people who actually care about each other. Base supervisor actually cares about employees and will fight for them to upper management.

Cons

Treated as just a pulse in a shirt. The old owner knew employees by name and would talk to you like a human if you crossed paths. Recent changes in (underqualified) upper management/ownership will be the downfall of the company. Refusal to listen to ideas causes low moral and a mass exodus. The company poached failed managers from other ambulance companies. HR also regularly makes mistakes in payroll and engages in confrontation on social media to job postings. Older equipment and lack of communication between management. New employees are making more than employees with the same experience who have been loyal to the company for years.

Pros

Keep you busy and a few friendly dispatchers some of the upper management is ok. Get to transport some amazing people and veterans

Cons

To the review that says you get out an hour late past your shift. When you were hired they told you in orientation they can hold chair van drivers 1 hour past their shift for a call, if you don’t like it here Nobody is forcing you to stay. The company could pay its wheelchair van drivers a little more than what they are paid. Some work 10-16 hour days because of late calls and for what we are paid it’s not worth it. Management could also treat their employees better instead of constantly yelling At them sucks when you give 150% every day and no recognition for it.
