Pros
• Being able to connect with players and the staff at each facility. • The Futures program and the people running it. • Great space for building connections with people (outside of management). • Really unique business.
Cons
• Upper management’s irreverence towards employees and customers. • I went through 4 managers in less than a few years. This created confusion, distrust, and a lack of consistency in tasks/expectations. • Extremely poor structure, organization, and communication. • There are back-office staff workers who will speak to you however they wish as they have tenure. They *will* be rude, and there is no accountability for it when addressed. • Was told during the interview process that the position was hybrid. The position turned into a completely in-office position. • Position advancement is often favored for family members and close friends (nepotism). • Working for a sports organization should be fun. Working for All-Star is not fun. • Poor pay. They expect you to do the job of three people for the price of one. • Lack of work-life balance.
