Pros
If you are from the hardware industry and are looking to grow in the same industry, this is a good place. There is opportunity to learn. Senior management is neither stellar nor terrible and there is room for improvement in terms of communication and leadership. There is definitely lack of transparency. Some leaders work very long hours and on weekends and expect the same from their team members.
Cons
The office culture is toxic and demoralizing. Gossip, petty rivalries between colleagues and backstabbing is rampant. Bullying and harassment is constantly brushed under the rug. Career advancement opportunities are virtually non-existent and nepotism is prevalent with pay increases and promotions going to friends of managers. Most of the employees in management positions are ex-Assa Abloy and they bring bad culture. I have heard experiences of Allegion employees in other geographies and their experience seems to be better. The sales, product, marketing and finance teams, all have revolving doors and employees rarely stay for more than 12 months. In my experience, management's incompetence, toxic office culture, limited career growth opportunities and hostile working environment made it an unbearable place to work. I would strongly advise anyone considering a job at this company to think twice and explore better options elsewhere. No job is worth sacrificing your well-being and mental health for.
