Pros

The starting wage is fairly high, and if you have no family or social life, the overtime may be worth it.

Cons

Most departments are working minimum 50 hour workweeks, with some working as high as 64 hours a week.

Alliance Laundry Response

Dear Team Member... Demand for laundry equipment is strong right now. We're grateful that we can provide reliable employment for Ripon and the surrounding communities, but we share your frustrations about overtime. We're working hard to gain greater work-life balance for our team members and we appreciate the challenges of our current production schedule. We have several measures in place to step up our hiring and we're seeing results. You also should have noticed the work we're doing in the plant to enhance efficiency. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

Work schedule flexibility in engineering department and labs

Cons

HR has not done a very accurate market analysis in order to ensure the workers are being paid fairly. No plan for workers to grow but you can surely take on more responsibility. Be prepared to fight for any pay increases along the way as tenure and experience do not raise flags for promotions. Managers are not supportive they are only nodding that they hear white noise when you talk to them. They are not in it to help you grow only to secure their own position. Keep your resume up to date, stay marketable and continue to grow personally. Watch whom you confide in!
