Pros

Going to battle is not a desirable thing, but if you survive, you emerge with razor-like senses, skills to overcome anything, and an inner resilience that cannot be matched. Working at Alliant Energy is similar, provided you don't stay long enough for the company to suck our entire soul. After a brief recovery, ex-Alliant Energy employees will do amazing things!

Cons

Alliant Energy leadership from the top down is generally inept. Servant leaders who have the guts to do the right thing are either let go, or they run from this toxic environment. Unless you are one of the "chosen few," you can expect to be overworked, blamed for all mistakes, and to wonder each day when you will be let go. Leadership is notorious for making false promises and gaslighting. The daily work environment is harsh. Despite how much good employees give, they will never get ahead in a bad environment. The best thing to do is to get out before your future employee can find out you worked at Alliant Energy. Do not work here. Do not be fooled. Nothing will change.

Pros

- Decent pay - Co-workers good to work with - Home each night

Cons

- Processes and systems aren't as efficient as they could - Select managers shouldn't be in managerial roles - Executives are not in touch with middle management and field workers
