Pros
People had been requesting to work from home for years but only a small favoured few were granted it. Then, as soon as Covid hit, everyone was working perfectly fine from home. That's where the Pros ends. The officers get as much of their work done from home - in spite of rather than because of the management structure.
Cons
The management structure of Operations in the Dublin Allianz partners is an absolute shambles. They seem to do no work and if anyone ever questions them, they get very defensive about it. We have a busy period, that's understandable - every company does. But busy periods are not supposed to last 6 to 8 months of the year. The work piled up, management did nothing. The officers asked for support, management did nothing. The officers got stressed and started to leave, management did nothing. More work piled up and everything became 'urgent' and the management did nothing. And now management are blaming the workload on the lack of staff?! You couldn't make it up! If the management structure can't improve the measurable metrics of a department, never mind the less tangible things like morale, over the course of the 2 and a bit years of WFH, then surely something has to change? I think the people above the dept need to have a closer look as to what's really going on.
