Pros

Simple & Effective Working Environment Opportunities to pick up shifts from high turnover or call offs

Cons

Company is incentivized to avoid paying out overtime. Given the high turnover rate of low level security the company created "flex officers" in which officers of various work sites can cover a gap for only one shift and cycle out multiple officers to cover the shift for the week until they can shove someone else in the hole and avoid having a sole officer reap the benefits of overtime; The system will avoid selecting you for a flex shift if your already in the system for "40 hours" that week. The website job training is repetitive and not indicative of the actual site operations. Leadership has drama and has changed hands multiple times since hiring date. Do not bring unwanted attention to yourself as a negative environment leads to gossip and lost opportunities (results may vary) For example leadership assumed I was going to resign a couple months ago without directly asking me & already trained my replacement without telling me. Thanks to gossip I lost the chance of moving to a full time shift at the site that I was slotted for; Instead it was given to someone else. When I brought this to leadership's attention I was the one to blame as I didn't "let them know" about me not quitting. As if that was a decision I made to spread that idea. Ridiculous. On top of that, given the high turnover rate of officers, the company often shoves random folks into a uniform, with some not even showing up to work or quitting within a couple days. Some incidents also occurred with "officers" that were not behaving professionally, putting a poor reputation with the client and the rest of the officers that remain. This boiled into a "rewards" program from the client dictating that any employee that found anything wrong with an officer will be rewarded with a $100 gift card. Obviously judgement will get diluted when money gets involved, causing even more resentment between the client and the company. All of these incidents have potentially caused the contract not to be renewed, costing the company million of dollars due to incompetence. Finally the most senior of all the officers on site was caught watching XXX rated content on his phone and proceeded to blame it on an "email he was trying to delete". What more can be said? As long as you commit to your responsibilities security can help you make ends meet, but again, results may vary.

Pros

Some of the people you meet are cool and you make real good connections with the professional guards (not a lot, but i got lucky)

Cons

*Management doesn't answer their phones *Management don't want to help you address the issues onsite unless the manager of that site has an issue. *Rude and non responsive office. *Operations managers and client managers are useless. (Their assistants do a better job than they do) *The guards are not the priority to management and the company. Very childish and hostile environment. *A lack of structure, communication and support.
