Pros

Salary was competitive, certain perks such as the car lease scheme were good

Cons

You are expected to put the company first above, everything else, lip service is paid to work life balance but unless you are working late and coming in early every day you are not seen as pulling your weight. This is not helped by the longer than average contracted hours in the first place. Employee benefits that have long become standard in the rest of the industry such as paid sick leave are only now being considered, however they seem to be grudgingly implemented with the bare minimum being offered. Gerry's word is gospel; it doesn't matter what plans are put in place, what evidence is presented or what processes are implemented, if he decides it's not happening, it's not happening. And if your face doesn't fit then you will not last long. Employee turnover is very high as a result. There is no trust in the business, everyone is constantly having to justify their being there. Certain teams will happily stitch up others so as not to fall out of favour with the owner. Legislation and safe systems of work are seen as obstacles to be skirted around rather than rules to be followed. It is only a matter of time before the company falls foul of the authorities.

Pros

Gained a few good friendships but that’s about it!

Cons

It’s a horrible place to work and always will be. Certain managers can’t take responsibility for their poor leadership and quite frankly, don’t know what they are doing. They send out a staff survey every year for feedback however, the main issues aren’t addressed and they wonder why staff feel demotivated and not valued. You are just a number in there unfortunately, I have never seen so many people come and go. Flexible working/WFH was taken away to work on collaboration but managers/ directors don’t even acknowledge anything that’s going on and some can’t even say Hello or good morning? It has seriously deteriorated over the last few years through terrible management with bad attitudes.

Pros

There is a yearly profit share, though who know’s how much longer for, haven’t even announced it for this year yet with 9 days to go. Had a good team, but most are now leaving due to recent decisions from CEO. Great director and manager if they decide they want to stay.

Cons

Don’t even really know where to start, there are to many and nobody up at the top really seems to care anyway
