Pros

Great customer service training. They really teach you how to provide the best customer service, which will help you in future jobs, regardless of career path. Supportive coworkers and managers. It's hard work and can be very busy at times, but coworkers and management are always helping each other. Flexible scheduling. While the hotel schedule changes, they go out of their way to help your schedule when you need it. Fun, enjoyable culture. I really miss many of the people that I used to work with.

Cons

Low pay. They say they are competitive with the Portland metro area, but then they say this is the best and most expensive hotel in the tri-state area, so you think they should be one of the highest paying hotels too. I have seen coworkers ask for a raise, are told no, and then it feels like they are in trouble because they asked. No options or incentives to grow. There's rarely an opportunity to apply for a promotion, but when you can, many people don't want to apply because many assistant manager positions are low salaried and have to work many more hours. No great perks of working here like many other businesses have.

Pros

Family owned and operated. Pretty place to work. Always let you take your time off. Amazing Spa Director. Small team feels like family.

Cons

Upward mobility from Manager on Duty is difficult considering senior management has been around forever.
