Pros

- Okayish pay - professional skilled people on the floor level

Cons

- Higher management out of touch of daily reality in different product teams - Unprofessional middle management with neither technical nor creative skills, but wants micromanage everything - A lot of people in the middle management who get promoted to new and positions "because they have history" at Alma. Basically if you have been long enough ( +5 years) at Alma, they will give you nice titles and salaries, doing things you are not skilled at, just because you have been also earlier at Alma - So it's a good place if you like to play excessive office politics and backstab to get to "the long time Alma people" - club where the titles and pay start to get a lot better. But if you don't like office politics, it is a miserable place.

Pros

- nice and motivated colleagues - modern office in the heart of the city

Cons

I worked in a team related to the real estate business, and my probation was ended unexpectedly around the time another team member returned from leave. Up until that point, I had not received clear negative feedback and felt I was making steady progress in the role. From my perspective, expectations in the role were difficult to meet—especially coming from a different industry—because there was very limited ramp‑up time before being evaluated against full performance targets. This made it challenging to realistically succeed within the probation period. Overall, I felt that performance expectations and feedback were not communicated clearly enough during the probation period, which made the situation feel unfair and hard to anticipate. I was also disappointed in how the termination was handled, as the process felt abrupt and not aligned with the level of professionalism I would have expected.

Pros

Good worklife balance in a way where there is no timecards and the company understands that sometimes you need to leave early to get the kids. Also no micromanagement and you are free to influence the way your work is done. It is a nice name on a CV.

Cons

Salaries and career progression on IT side. Past 5 years you get roughly 0% salary increase in a year and that includes the annual raises you get normally in these jobs. So with inflation for that time being around 10%, You've taken a 10% salary decrease. They really dont reward long term commitments. Also on IT side there really isnt anything to gain career wise without job hopping. Best idea is to come in with a good salary and leave in a year or two for a better opportunity. They also dont follow any collective agreements
