Pros

I did an internship in Marketing for three months. - What I liked the most about Alpha Founders is its culture. Everyone is very friendly, willing to help and assist you with anything. - It offers a great learning platform. As it is a start-up and relatively small company, you have a chance to work on different tasks, thus gaining insight into different departments and learning something new everyday. - You get a lot of responsibility from the very first day, and you work directly with the management team. - Also, I really liked the management style of the company. If you have any new ideas or think that something could be done differently they will listen and take your idea into consideration. In addition, they always share the information about whats happening in the company, creating more transparency within the company.

Cons

- Tasks are not strictly defined, because of this reason you might get different tasks that is not your responsibility. For example, you might work in Marketing but might need to do something for Business Development, like preparing presentations or proposals.

Pros

- Very smart, dedicated and fun fellow interns. - If liked by management you can have the lead on meetings with important executives of Asian companies. - Growing SE Asia environment. - Good introduction to low-budget startup growth tactics - Some willingness to remove the cons.

Cons

- Business side of the company is mostly run by interns working under the founders. As unpaid and rarely offered a full time job (which is also very low pay) there is a huge turnaround, and most interns leave when at the top of their learning curve and when they can fully contribute to the company. Most growth projects are thus abandoned, stalling the company. - While management shows willingness to listen to your ideas and create a productive startup-style environment, this generally lasts only a few days and goes back to micro management, and efforts to create unhealthy competition between employees.
