Pros
Salaries were among the best in the region up until they acquired Massey. Since then, a strict policy of "no raises" has been in place for several years because of the lack of due diligence from the executives. Currently there are no pros to working here. The insurance, which used to be free, has been cut to bare minimum, and 401k match was completely eliminated. I'd be shocked if the company exists in 2 years. The only pro I can think of is work/life balance. There is no overtime, because management doesn't care if anything ever gets done.
Cons
All the Alpha management that made the company great before the Massey acquisition have retired or been pushed out by Massey people, with the exception of Crutchfield, who seems to be clueless. Now they are laying off all the people that do the actual work, but not trimming middle management. They have VPs and directors making big-city money with managers that manage no one reporting to them. The managers that do have people reporting to them are puppets, with no input to the directors on who is useful and who isn't, and the directors do not concern themselves with who or how the work is done, and there is no review process in place to justify your value to the company.
