Pros

Alphero is a small company, but has somehow concentrated a group of incredibly talented people. As a developer, my experience with designs and project managers had been mixed, but at Alphero everyone is delightful, professional, and beyond capable. They're incredibly welcoming, and afford you opportunities to step outside of your role description and contribute in other ways. Whether that's to their constant innovation, sharing experience with the wider community, or stepping in to adjacent developer roles to try your hand at a completely different platform. They pay above market rate and are extremely generous with multiple benefits, being inline with what's expected from a much bigger company.

Cons

As a smaller company, Alphero sometime struggle to offer structured career pathways. Being an agency, your satisfaction at work will vary depending on the current project(s) you're working on. Some projects are much more fast paced and budget restrained, while others can be long programmes of work spanning multiple months/years.

Pros

Great people, good projects and overall a great, inclusive environment. Understanding and empathetic managers. People across all levels of the company were really approachable. They really do value their culture as apparent by all their various social gatherings. Always receptive to new ideas, methods and tools, willing to let you experiment.

Cons

Being thrown into legacy projects means sifting through a lot of old documentation with nothing to guide you. Even in newer projects this was still a problem though not as bad. Process for managing and communicating designs could be better. Lots of new faces all the time making it harder to build on relationships, could see it straining what makes their employee environment so good.
