Pros

Having worked for Alphr for a number of years I have seen a number of changes and until until recently their working arrangements have been excellent, managing to smash yearly targets by almost double every year and expanding industries to great a stable work load. Great team, some very clever engineers and great support from peers.

Cons

Since the appointment of the latest MD Alphr has really gone down hill. Order intake is almost zero and the moral is completely flat. Alphr has gone from a fully functional profiting business to a total shambles under his charge. There seems to be total disregard for the welfare of employees with the exception of the new management team (suspiciously all previous colleagues). In the past year over 20 employees have departed (redundancies and resignations) and since then all they have done is hire managers. The management team seem so dead set on changing things and trying to run the company their way that they have forgotten about the values of Alphr. Personally i dont see how they can continue on this path and the future is bleek

Pros

None, below average no Carrer development...from 2016-2020...there is a new top management. They might turn things around

Cons

Looking for no career growth and want to feel like you work in a 80s compnay with no real benefits...then this is the compnay. No real training ( on the job , training courses or online material. Although software engineers get some courses) No training budget or time No sick pay No benefits expect 3% pension No flexitime Start with only 20 days of holidays (plus 8 days of bank holidays ) this is less than the national average. Facility building itself far too old. No use of SMART objectives. No career plans. Just do the same old so called design work day in day out. If you ask "why are we desinging the system in this particular way" awnser would be " we used this method in the past " 99% of the time you would get this awnser. So you do not end up learning much at all.
