Pros

Got to work from home. The guarantee money, barely anything

Cons

Where to begin?? Took weeks to get my laptop and business cards. Was supposed to switch to a full employee after 90 but then it became once I start hitting quota. Which was impossible bc they weren't setting up good appointments, Youd show up and the owners would just rip into you because they were being harassed by the telemarketing team. Super shady company I am embarassed I even worked for, I will not be putting it on my resume, Id rather say I took time off instead of admitting I worked for this sham. Run far far far away from this company. They also ask the employees to rate them on Yelp, so a lot of their higher stars are employees trying to raise their rating. I got fired because I wouldn't drive three hours to bring a client a cord. Good thing I was writing my letter of resignation at that time.

Pros

The only pro to Alpine is a handful (less than 5) people that are pretty great.

Cons

The whole company is severely under paid (except for upper management), the medical/dental/vision benefits are terrible, the vacation and sick time policy is even worse. There is no flexibility- if you are sick you're expected to be there. Sick kids? Not their problem, figure it out (however it's a bit of a hypocritical policy, as the owner is regularly out of the office to take care of his own kids). The owner will go out of his way to work you as hard and as much as he can for as little money as possible. Office supplies that are necessary to do your job are not provided (this is true for the call center workers- they are expected to bring pens and paper from home). The bottom line is that this is not a healthy company. Stay far, far away (and don't be fooled by the positive reviews- the owner routinely asks their employees to leave positive feedback when their reviews get too low).

Hello former anonymous employee - Although this response is late, I would like to apologize about your experience as an Alpine employee. Alpine Payments is now under new management and the last few months have been focused on reconstructing the brand and developing our talent. Policies have been modified and steps have been taken to provide additional value to our employees. To address your specific points, we provide office supplies -to all employees, we have a new benefits policy and we are flexible around the needs and unexpected changes our staff may face. If you would be interested in learning about the new way we do business around here, I would be happy to discuss. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at darrelld@alpinepayments.net
