Cons
I started this company because I loved what it stood for, but over the time I have been there, it became more and more toxic. The level of work and expectations that I have encountered working there I have never experienced in any job. No work life balance, you are paid to work 40hrs weekly, but expected to work 50/60hrs per week. Your mentally and emotionally drained. You are not given the proper tools that you need to succeed, instead stores are set up for failure because they have implemented secret shoppers that comes to stores and grades us on our services and if stores receive a score below 90 they fail no matter the comments or what’s going on in stores at that time. Store leaders are then forced to write there team up, in many cases if store leaders don’t they get written up and placed on finals or demotions for guest services. District leaders rarely support there stores and teams, they bully store leaders and put fear in there hearts, which resulted in store leaders not leading there store teams with love and compassion but instead with fear of losing their jobs. You would think it’s a people first company but it’s not! The great places to work survey it’s all lies and BS and stores are forced to get good scores because the score is for the store so if you scored your store under a 90 it makes the management team looks bad, but reality is these questions are towards the company and not for stores. Please don’t work here if you have a family and you want to be happy. It’s that simple! Am still trying to wrap my head around how are they on fortune best places to work!
