Cons
Reformer Pilates instructors are not trained properly. They do a 2-day training 'course' internally and then can teach at Altea, but nowhere else. They also allow other staff to clean classes without being certified, as a way to save money. Staff are extremely underpaid, considering the high cost of memberships and the various ways they scam members for money. Worked with a lot of toxic people who were misogynistic, creepy and used unethical practices at work to 'impress' upper management. These issues were brought up with management and HR, and nothing was done about them. Experienced racism and micro-aggressions from colleagues and managers. Staff begged management for DEI training, and they hired 2 white people to come in and talk about it for a day. High turnover rate. Fires staff with little to no warning. They only offer them severance if they promise not to talk poorly about the company. They make a lot of false promises about being able to work your way up the company, but they assign you additional tasks based on your skill sets without increasing your pay. As a result, nothing comes out of it.
