Pros

Pay is average for the communities they serve, they offer benefits

Cons

Serious culture of brown nosing, especially from the project managers. As the new guy you will absolutely be blamed for any, if not all, of their mistakes. Nobody has a background in construction. We're talking unglued PVC in "airtight" systems, exceptionally low standards for drywall patching, and "eyeballing" of plumb and level. The PVC thing causes cascading failures in their oxygen generation systems but if you bring this up all you're doing is earning the disdain of their head design technician. Expect to spend more than half your time in, or meeting, at the shop, which for me was an hour from the location I was supposedly hired for (hired for Summit county, spent 90% of my time in Eagle county, in Edwards). You won't get compensated for that daily extra time spent driving. The project managers will push you to work fast without regard for quality. I image that this is because of bonuses that you will never see. When you're on the road you will be put in the absolute cheapest motels while the project managers will be put in nice air bnbs. I wasn't there long but know I was let go for making a joke (quite literally).
