Pros
1) Unlimited PTO
2) Interesting work
3) My work/life balance was good but this was not the case across the board.
Cons
1) Nepotism in upper management. Unqualified people got jobs because they were buddies with the CEO.
2) Perks slowly got taken away: no more gym, no more company sponsored lunches.
3) Management out of touch with the product and the employees on the ground trying to make it work.
4) Big financial struggles and lack of funding.
5) Extremely low morale.
6) Desperate moves (like laying off important people) to save the company in the short term but could easily doom them in the long term are being made.
7) The upper management level was extremely bloated. From my perspective, it looked to cause a lot of inefficiencies. People in the lower echelons of the company would leave without getting replaced. Meanwhile, it felt like I was constantly getting emails about some new director or VP.
