Pros
You can set your own working hours, and the hourly rate you desire to get paid for.
Cons
There are a lot of cons, and I'm a very experienced teacher who always tries to be kind. But the truth is the truth. The platform cares more about the customers than you as the teacher. You will get lots of tickets during your first month, and then it will drastically decline. You are on your own nearly all the time. You recruit students, prep lessons, deal with the parents, deal with marketing, and deal with the losing and gaining of students. You are on your own all the time. The mentor who tried to recruit you into their team - don't trust them. You can trust them they will help you to get started, get to know the platform, etc. But that's about it. Most mentor wants to recruit you into their team because they make more passive income as their team grows bigger. Their passive income doesn't come from your paycheck, so don't worry. The platform will reward the mentor when they can train the teachers to make more money. Working for AT has been very tough experience for me. They just don't understand the business side of education, and don't understand the teachers need good and stable incomes. They put lots of energy on building up their own AT classroom, but what they actually need is to help the teachers to actually suceed.
