Pros

Affordable medical plan Weekly payment or pay advance program Off site parking reward for extra cash

Cons

-On site leaderships, L3 managers, learning trainer, HR staff and ambassadors get to sit down and make L1 (regular) warehouse staffs to stand, walk all shift long to pack and sort. They don’t allow level 1 staff to take their own break or use the beak rooms to sit down or pick up phone calls, if being caught by either learning trainer, OP managers, or PA, you will automatically be sent to HR for a consequence of either written up or termination. Yet those trainers and management seems to entitle for sitting down behind their laptops throughout their work schedules and pick point at other people’s performance or assign their friends/relatives to do easy tasks. -unfair task assignments- group of people get repeatedly assigned for less labor intensive job such as people get to pre-assign by on site managers (Operational team) in learning center, scanner sanitization, machinery operators, and other administrative functions not even need to scan or lift anything with a nice chair to sit down while others work constantly in hot and harsh environments. -Some PAs and managers only monitor people who they put under their “radars” and put a hold on your AtoZ account that enable you to take VTOs (voluntary time off) while others can take their time off easily before it expires. -management not being caring or considerate. Always flex up their shifts by another 1 hour and override lunch hours so none of us have enough time to relax. -Oak 5 (Newark, CA) working schedules are too harsh and demanding. Mandatory stay for 5 hour shift when their truck deliveries arrive late or understaff. This warehouse consists with full time hours can be pick from either: Morning shifts- + 8:30am to 12:30pm (flex up 1 hour); 2pm to 6pm (flex up to an hour so you won’t get out until 7pm) Evening shifts- 7:30pm to 11:30pm (flex up an hour until 12:30pm to get off); 3am to 7am (flex up 1 hour). -why do Amazon top management slave their level one staffs by making them work 10 hours being full time employees? Also why are those level 3 or above staffs, security guards, and managements in this Oak 5 get to sit down with a nice chair, watch movies, play cell phone games, browse online shopping, chit chatting with other friends while targeting Level 1 staff at the same time that they are prohibited to sit down for their own break time? If they like to criticize or punish level one staff for underperforming, taking their own breaks or sit down in the break room, please look at themselves first if they also to be on their feet 10 straight hours and keep lifting, walking, standing for the team! Amazon directors should promote reduced hour work for basic level workers, let people have a choice to work either 3 or 4 hours per shift in warehouse. This is a highly labor intensive job. We are not a robot or machines

Pros

You get various time off options Work is easy if you don't mind working There are some opportunities to advance if that is what you are looking for Cover education expenses up to a certain amount at qualified schools

Cons

Can be hard on your body if you don't take care of yourself Time off options accrue very slowly depending on how you use it Work can be monotonous There can be blatant favoritism across departments Leadership integrity is hit or miss Lots of entitlement across different tiers (from tier 1 all the way up to management).
