Pros
Amedisys is one of the most empowering companies that I have been allowed to work for. They are supportive of their employees allowing them to become their greatest self while performing the best evidence-based practice care for their patients. Amedisys is looking for motivated self starters that love their job and their patients. Even through less staffing the office pitches in to provide care. Not all companies would go that extra mile to ensure patients are seen. The only reason I am looking for a different position is I earned my NP certification.
Cons
In rural areas it is difficult to have enough staffing. It is no different than any other home health - has a lot of documentation. This is found with all home health. No nurse practitioner position available at Amedisys Home Health or Hospice in my area at this time.
