Ok pay but Not great

Its a great way to get your foot in the door in the fashion/buying field

There is absolutely no way that you can get promoted withing merchandising. HR likes to say that they promote from within. Every job that was related to merchandising went to someone from outside the company. Most people there that changed job titles moved laterally. They want you to work overtime but aren't willing to pay. I've seen hourly employees take work home over the weekend or clock out and continue to work. Anything that you do will not be appreciated nor recognized. Catalog directors are clueless and play favorites with their teams. You cannot bring a problem to HR because they won't help because they are too busy finding cheaper rates for insurance. The pay is terrible for all that they want you to do.
