Pros
For the many things this place does wrong, I have to admit that they know how to hire cool people. Coworkers are the only reason people last as long as they do. You'll develop a thick skin and learn some good lessons that will serve you in future positions.
Cons
Management is terrible and everything trickles down from there. Some site directors are great but the damage is done at the top. The CEO is a micro manager to the max. She sits at her desk and watches security footage from other offices all day long (and will call your director if she sees something she doesn't like), has to approve ALL time off requests HERSELF, and implements changes without the slightest thought to how it will affect her people. She doesn't care about you, value you, or appreciate you. She's also horrendously inappropriate with the questions she asks people and only gets away with it because it's a private company with no HR department. You cannot walk around any of the offices and find more than 5 people who wouldn't tell you they want to find another job. It's been almost two years since I stopped working at America Works (I left on my own accord because I was relocating) and my only concern is to give people an ACCURATE picture of what it's like to work here. If you look at the trend of reviews you'll notice an average rating of TWO STARS until the end of 2016 when it suddenly jumps to FIVE. This is because they paid employees in $100 gift cards for shining reviews. I'm still friends with all of my old coworkers and they ALL confirmed this. It's bogus and you shouldn't buy it. Also ask yourself how desperate they must have been to feel the need to hide people's ACTUAL opinions and testimonies. What's sad is that had they left this site alone you'd find the MAJORITY of people saying that ALOT of things were wrong with this company but that most didn't regret their time here because of they people they worked with and the lessons they learned. What's showing now though? Total BS.
