Pros

Used to be a great place to work--no more.

Cons

Purchased by a company from India; they're systematically pillaging to extract proprietary technology and fire all the Americans.

Pros

The best reason to work on AJE is the remote option, and great benefits.

Cons

One of the downsides was the lack of communication.

Pros

There are none. All around awful. You will probably get fired sooner or later, no matter who you are, how long you worked there, how well you did your job, and how dedicated you were to the company. Do not get attached to your job or people there.

Cons

Sweatshop. You might end up with professional PTSD when it is all done. Employees do not get basic consideration, are infantilized, and their workload is ever increasing to parameters that are very far from industry standards (for example, they expected 6000 words an hour for editing, while most companies require 1500!). This is essentially a tech company, using the work and brains of editors to build an AI model so they can then fire the humans who helped build it. Management is manipulative, often taking people for idiots, while management is in fact often less educated than editors. A culture of surveillance and distrust reigns. An all around toxic environment. Work-life balance is a myth in this company.
