Pros

ATP offers a great benefits package that includes your basic Health, Dental, Eye, and Ear care with the company covering 100% of the premium. Other benefits include tuition reimbursement (they will pay for you to go back to school for a bachelors or masters degree after 2 years of Full Time employment), a new computer assistance plan (they will give you money for a new PC/Tablet every 4 years), and since they are an employee owned they give you a % of your salary in shares of the company each year. ATP offers yearly reviews that come with raises and bonuses. They also offer a holiday bonus when the company is doing well. You get two 15-minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch, and have the option of starting anytime between 7-9am and getting off at 3-5pm. So you actually work less when compared to most other companies. The dress code is business casual and they allow jeans on Friday. There are paid holidays and you acquire a half day of PTO each month.

Cons

There isn't a lot of work/life balance. There is no option to work from home, even if your project/job can be done remotely. This can be problematic since I'd rather work from home if I'm feeling under the weather opposed to using PTO or risk getting somebody sick. Although they are slowly opening up to better practices you are still very much on a schedule where you start at the same time, take your breaks at the same time, and go to lunch at the same time everyday. The only issue I have with management is the communication between departments is very questionable at times. Deadlines are frequently missed and it doesn't seem like people are held accountable. Its not a huge deal, but this has definitely screwed over some other departments in the past. Although the company has expanded quite a bit the past 20 years there isn't a lot of room for advancement. It is a small company at the end of the day, so don't expect many promotions unless you plan to work there your entire career. Finally, vacation time is really bad your first 2 years with the company. You get 1 week of vacation the first 2 years as a full-time employee.

Pros

Overall, a very good place to work. The building is beautiful, colleagues are friendly, the work is usually interesting, and management is pretty receptive and responsive.

Cons

Location is a little far for many lunch options within reasonable lunch periods. Building has some hot spots and cold spots at certain times of year.
