Pros

I genuinely feel proud to work for this company. The organization truly puts people first, not just in words but in action. Leadership consistently demonstrates care, transparency, and accountability, and the core values are actively lived at every level—not posted on a wall and forgotten. There is a strong emphasis on doing the right thing for teams, clients, and patients, even when it’s hard. Support, development, and collaboration are encouraged, and there is a clear commitment to continuous improvement. It’s refreshing to work for a company that aligns its decisions with its values and invests in its people.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. I love this company!

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback and for your continued commitment to American Veterinary Group. We’re especially grateful to hear this perspective from a long-tenured leader who has experienced our growth firsthand. Our goal has always been to ensure that putting people first is reflected in everyday decisions—not just stated as a value. Hearing that our focus on transparency, accountability, development, and doing the right thing is consistently experienced across teams reinforces the importance of staying grounded in those principles as we continue to evolve. We appreciate your leadership, engagement, and trust in the organization. Thank you for being an important part of our journey and for helping to shape the culture you describe.

Pros

Great teams and internal training program the technicians. The company is pretty hands off with medicine so the doctors have autonomy on how they practice. Compensation and benefits are consistent with others in the industry.

Cons

Since management doesn't dictate medicine, style of medicine seems to differ between locations so it is probably important to make sure your approach to medicine matches the practice you are in.

Pros

The animals are the only pro.

Cons

This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever worked in. My immediate Lead holds grudges and is not a lead at all other than by title. If you do something that she doesn't agree with she will refuse to talk to you and will badmouth you behind closed doors. Refusing to wear a mask when they were sick with a contagious illness is not the way in 2026. My PM is unprofessional at BEST and is rude and condescending to her subordinates. I will not be here much longer. Need to find work, first. The majority of the staff at the practice has been run off by their clique-y-ness or are planning their exit strategies. Also, the pay is legit minimum wage, and after taxes, totally not worth it. Zero stars, would not recommend.
