Pros

You're given the option to work from home

Cons

Run away from this place. To start, they're liars. They advertise the job as a patient rep job, but as soon as training is over, they push on you to collect a lot of money to hit their expected goals. They they say it's the hospital goals when it's their goals. They don't act like that when you first get on the phone. They wait until you have been there a while and put so much pressure on you to collect more money. The supervisors are slow. They try to make you think that they're so much smarter than you are when a lot of them knew someone higher up, which is how they got the job as a teamleader/supervisor. Job nepotism is real there. Most of the people in higher up positions not only don't have any degrees or actual certifications in anything, they don't have a lot of work experience. They just knew someone and got lifted up. If you do have a degree, they attempt to make you feel like you do everything wrong. I guess that's how they make themselves feel secure. When people are not happy in their personal lives them come and mess with people at work whom they supervise to make them feel small. The weird part is that this is a small company. It's way too much drama. Way too many people putting themselves in meeting all day to make themselves look more important than they actually are. The meeting all day thing is to avoid working. All of the higher ups do it. Then when you ask for any kind of help the response is always that they're in a meeting. I've been written up after applying for other jobs in a different department to stop me from being able to move on. They threaten to fire you for everything. They use the tern separation from employment. It's a scare tactic that's used when they can't control an employee. Which is an indication that someone does not know how to be a good supervisor. You should want a good working relationship with the ones who you supervise. They say whatever they want to you and treat you any way then expect you to be the best of friends the next meeting. The workload is way too much. People have 9 and 10 hospitals a piece when they lied, saying we would have a maximum of 4. They only allow you to call out 1 day a month. And if you request time off, it will be denied because they're short staffed due to them firing a lot of people or people leaving. Patients curse you out, and you're called out of your name. The supervisor will say you have to have thick skin instead of being normal and asking if you're ok. The job is abusive both from the company and the people you talk to daily. It's not even a corporate company for it to be so much stress. Small town will always be a small town name kind of company. It was sold to a bigger company that is actually a corporate company. I'm guessing that a lot of these folks that's been starling time not working always in meeting us about to find out that corporate companies want to actually have you account for your time. They don't pay you to not work all day. Also the IT department is trash. Their solution to everything is unplugging the equipment. It can be a blue screen of death, and that will be the solution. The main issue is that the ceo had no idea what was happening in the company because a lot of things stay hidden. But when a larger company buys a small company, they notice everything. Another issue is schedules. All of the new people get the earlier hours where the ones working there for years have to work until 7 multiple times a week. Normally, the ones who have been there the longest get a better schedule. Not here. They dont care about work-life balace at all. You can't get time approved to take off for your mental health, but supervisors take off because they dont have childcare or if they're sick. Talking to all these different personalities all day contributors to the ones on the phone always not feeling well. As a supervisor, you're not on the phone taking cals why are you taking off due to not having childcare? Also if you call out they will text you asking for you to come in later in the day. Like you're not allowed to have a day off from this stressful job. Also why are you texting me? Do you get a text to come in when you take off? Point blank the supervisors act as if they own the company and dont work for it too. Stop treating people like robots. We're humans who get sick, tired, and sometimes need a mental health day. Stop using the phrase together when can when you put yourself in meetings all day to avoid actually working. With all the stuff that happens at this place a 2 day weekend is not enough time to recover. I just hope the people who need to go do so that it can go back to being an environment where people want to come to work again every day. Also they make everyone compete against one another. And it will be for like a $5 gift card. If you collect $80,000 you get a small gift card. It's like hunger games working here. May the odds be ever in your favor

Pros

I had a strong team and good bonds I could rely on. My manager helped me through my struggles. It was a smaller company so I felt like I could make a larger more meaningful impact.

Cons

The company had a huge blame culture - low integrity and trying to pass off ownership off issues to any other team they could. Leadership did not regularly express core values. Compensation and benefits to get to industry standards was like pulling teeth (I hear it is good now, so credit to them) I left owing some tuition reimbursement. I waited for my bill, but ultimately forgot. I moved but forwarded my address. Fast forward 2.5 YEARS later and I’m served. My phone number didn't change. USPS had my address. Was this necessary? Final put the last sour taste in my mouth about this place
