Salary doesn't commensurate with the amount of work that upper management expects a Care Manager to complete. The expectations aren't realistic! A Care Manager is expected to not only complete quarterly and annual assessments for the members, but management expects CMs to go out to enroll members into MLTSS, plus do assessments for non mltss members for services rather than having the non mltss case management staff do that for their members Wouldn't it make sense to hire an assessor team for these things so the MLTSS Care Managers can focus on their members and address their needs or address the ever growing list of overdue visits that management is on our case about? I know they want to get their money's worth out of their staff, but they are burning out the staff! MLTSS has a high turnover and nothing seems to be done to retain Care Managers!
