Pros

The core team is hardworking, skilled and truly committed to social impact (which is probably why they’re also more likely to be exploited by management without much complaining).

Cons

- Whatever the job description was when you were hired, expect it to not at all match what you end up doing. However, you are expected to be 100% on top of any surprise job duties from day 1. - No acceptance of failure. Management will take credit for all achievements and throw you under the bus anytime something doesn’t go according to plan. They deflect all blame onto their employees instead of standing by the team and trying to understand what didn’t work and how to avoid repeating the same mistakes again. And even if you saved the day, they will focus on what went wrong! - Female-dominated environment where alternative points of view are not considered and gossiping runs rampant. - 20-person company with more hierarchy layers than a 50 year-old multinational.

Pros

This is a super dynamic place to work, where everyday I showed up to the office, I learned about the biggest challenges of our time and how to find breakthrough solutions. It was like going back to university, but this time I was the one who was paid to attend. My colleagues are some of my lifelong friends and were wholeheartedly supportive of my personal and professional life. The team is super smart, kind, and international. I'm very lucky to have been part of the community.

Cons

Amplifier has huge ambitions, which it will reach, but there space to invest in the operational structures alongside its global visions. Management is investing in this side of the company, but this will take time. The more there is an attention to tracking behaviors, performance, and feedback, the more the company will be able grow in an organic matter with quality.
