Pros

The pros...they're close to home and the building is really nice--free workout facilities and a free parking garage. The benefits are decent, and the pay is competitive.

Cons

This place is very unorganized. Claims are mishandled and no one knows what they're doing. There is absolutely no training, you're just given a caseload and told to "do it". Add to that, a chef claims officer who is bully and you have the recipe for chaos. Turnover is extremely high and there's really no future for this place unless management does something about the circus environment that currently exists in the office.

Amwins Group Response
10y
AmWINS believes that the claims function is an extremely important part of our business. We have made proactive changes in the structure and organization of this department in order to facilitate improved performance; we believe this reorganization will help us to meet and exceed the expectations of our business partners. This sort of change can take time to put into action, resulting in missed opportunities and confusion about new processes and procedures. We encourage you to meet with your office leader to discuss your observations and learn more about the long-term goals of the organization.

Pros

Cohesive Team collaboration, empowerment to accomplish tasks and projects. Accessible and engaged C-Suite. Relatively 'flat' organization with less concern about titles (though they are abundant) and more concern with simply working together to meet business needs. No micromanagement of workload or PTO. Benefit package is above average, reasonable 401k match, decent health insurance,

Cons

Pros

Great benefits! The office is nice and super relaxed

Cons

There is no upward mobility at all. You are stuck as an associate with no way to move up. And when you do move up there is no pay difference.
