Pros

Super talented team. Ample room to grow and learn (unless you're targeted to be laid off by company) Great salary ... More like to compensate for the company's dysfunction Fully remote Laptop budget

Cons

I have been working with this company for around 1.5 years, and never had any negative complaints/feedback. It was the best time to learn about new technologies as various projects were being pulled in. Stressful as it was, I enjoyed it as I was growing as a developer each day. Salary was great and was ambitious to grow within the company. Then out of thin air, a random meeting with HR was scheduled early in the morning. As I suspected, the meeting was very brutal and curt, as HR just mentioned to me that my services were no longer needed and I was to be terminated there and then. Whilst refraining from being given a coherent and reasonable explanation, I was let go on the spot. 1.5 years of hard work just demolished in mere seconds. I thought that this was a great company, however there were a lot of warning signs which unwilliingly, I decided to ignore. A bunch of high seniority people were being made redundant such as Directors and Senior stuff across all the different departments. It is a very sad ending indeed, and unfortunately it all stems up from the higher ups. There was nothing humane about this. No consideration that we are people and have commitments and a life going on. Surprisingly enough, one of the founders whose name I shall not mention (let's call him Mbappe), once said to us that he expects machines. To be constantly working and pushing. We did that Mr Mbappe, but what was your response? Taking us to a company ski trip? We really liked it ... but I think you already knew what was about to happen. You milked us to the last drop and whenever someone differentiated his opinion from yours, the said person magically disappeared .. small K energy I might say. The ego emaciated from a boss having a profile picture of an eye overlooking a pyramid speaks volume ... Now it makes sense ... CSGO – Constantly Spying, Giving Nothing Thanks for the opportunity and thanks also for enlightening me with what not to tolerate in future companies. Definitely need to keep an eye out for young men who possess a golden leprechaun. This company is led by a boss and not a leader ... you'll be pushed hard, stressed and stretched over several projects of which some don't even make it to the market ... only to be fired when you're not needed anymore. I definitely don't recommend this toxic environment. I came for a marathon. Turns out, it was just a sprint to exhaustion. Steve Jobs was let go from his own company too. But sadly, the lesson here remains unlearned. To others reading this: choose leaders, not bosses. Protect your energy. And never ignore the red flags.
