Pros
I have to start my review with saying that I have not been this excited about a workplace ever since I can remember! - Amazing culture and talented coworkers, management is transparent and cares (and provides time off to prevent burn out), and flexibility is unparalleled. - Very inclusive and ahead of its time compared to majority of the companies out there (look at competitive companies). - A breath of fresh air in corporate America, and across the world, really! - You get to work with some of the brightest, most innovative and hard-working/diligent minds in the industry. - Open forum is guaranteed so you're free to ask the executives anything you want. It's truly fair game to ask anything, no matter how controversial. - Compensation is generous, above industry standard and really geared towards giving everyone a piece of the larger cake! The perks are also unique. - Client and product driven environment! Meritocracy is the underlying structure of teams and it gives EVERYONE an opportunity to grow and advance in the organization!
Cons
- People can easily get drawn into their work where they forget to balance work and life. More education around how to structure days, and work would be incredibly helpful across the organization. - Not a con, but more of an explanation for others reading it. Andela has gone through a lot of changes, in a very short period of time. That has caused upset among people because it pivoted when it comes to its mission and business model. Re-orgs are difficult, and they hit hard. But it doesn't mean that it's a bad place to work in, on the contrary. Andela finally found it's path, and is on a great path to grow!
